Sunday 11th November 2007.
11 members of the Trust enjoyed a guided walk around the old quarries of Frosterley led by David Raymond.
Weather was good with periods of winter sunshine.
The group walked from Frosterley on a circular route south round Harehope Quarry and along the course of the Bollihope Burn, visiting the site of Frosterley Marble quarrying at the head of Harehope Quarry, the disused lead mine and waterwheel house in Harehope Gill and the Limestone Kilns at the hamlet of White Kirkley.
At the south side of Harehope Quarry members were treated to a close sighting of a buzzard being mobbed by Jackdaws.
After the walk, members enjoyed Sunday lunch in the Black Bull Inn.
The photograph shows the group at the head of Harehope Quarry just after observing the Remembrance Day two minute silence in beautiful surroundings.
